CHINO VALLEY — State Route 89, at milepost 309, near Hidden Valley Road in Prescott will be restricted to one lane tomorrow, Oct. 21 between 8 a.m. 9:30 a.m. for utility work. Drivers can expect minimal delays during work hours.

The closures will provide a safe work zone as APS crew’s trim vegetation around power lines.

ADOT advises drivers to allow additional time to reach their destinations and to proceed through the work zone with caution, comply with the reduced speed limit, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel. Law enforcement personnel will be present to enforce the closures as they occur.

The work zone will be clearly marked by temporary barricades and signage.

CHINO VALLEY — Work at the State Route 89 and Road 4 North roundabout in Chino Valley is almost complete and crews are striping the new intersection today, Sept. 28 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Minimal impacts are expected during work hours. For the remainder of the week, drivers can expect intermittent lane restrictions approaching the roundabout for final miscellaneous work.

Drivers are encouraged to be alert for construction equipment and personnel through the work zone.

This $2.1 million project began in February and included a new roundabout at the intersection of SR 89 and Road 4 North near milepost 331, the removal and replacement of existing pavement, drainage improvements, new pavement markings and lighting.

CHINO VALLEY — Paving is complete at the new roundabout on State Route 89 at Road 4 North in Chino Valley. However, drivers can expect intermittent lane restrictions approaching the roundabout as miscellaneous work is completed over the next four weeks.

Drivers are encouraged to be alert for construction equipment and personnel through the work zone.

CHINO VALLEY — Crews will be paving at the new roundabout on State Route 89 at Road 4 North on Monday (Aug. 10) and Tuesday (Aug. 11). Work hours are from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Paving activity may require some intermittent delays during work hours and drivers are encouraged to be alert for construction equipment and personnel through the work zone.

This $2.1 million project consists of a new roundabout at the intersection of SR 89 and Road 4 North between mileposts 330.48 and 330.78. Additional work includes removal and replacement of existing pavement, drainage improvements, new pavement markings and lighting.

This project is expected to be complete by the fall.

Motorists traveling between Prescott and Chino Valley on State Route 89 (mileposts 320-325) now have a four-lane divided highway along a five-mile segment between Road 4 South in Chino Valley and Deep Well Ranch Road in Prescott.

Crews completed the final paving earlier this week and fully opened the roadway yesterday, July 15.

For the next six weeks, drivers can expect intermittent lane restrictions between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday until August 31 as crews do miscellaneous work and clean up on the project.

CHINO VALLEY — Overnight paving work has been scheduled on State Route 89 between Prescott and Chino Valley this weekend starting Friday night, June 26 through Sunday, June 28, weather permitting. Work will take place on the south end of the project at the new Deep Well Ranch Road roundabout.

Motorists traveling on SR 89 between 4 p.m. and 5 a.m. Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28 (no impacts on Friday night) should allow extra travel time through the work zone. A detour will be in place redirecting traffic in both directions onto the new Deep Well Ranch Road to Ruger Road.

Delays of up to 15 minutes at a time are expected. Flaggers and law enforcement will be present to guide motorists through the detour safely.

Upon completion of the $17 million project, ADOT will expand the two-lane roadway to a four-lane divided highway along a five-mile segment of SR 89 (mileposts 320-325) between Road 4 South in Chino Valley and Deep Well Ranch Road in Prescott, just north of the SR 89/SR 89A junction. The project is scheduled to be complete by August.
