Sidewalk repairs on US 60 and Tegner Street in Wickenburg this week

WICKENBURG – Arizona Department of Transportation maintenance crews are scheduled to repair the curb and sidewalk on US 60 and Tegner Street in Wickenburg starting on Tuesday, Feb. 17.

Westbound US 60 will be narrowed to one lane approaching the intersection and parking along the sidewalk through the work zone will not be permitted.

Drivers will be allowed to turn right onto Tegner Street from US 60 by using the left lane through the work zone.

Work hours are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and work is expected to be complete by Friday, Feb. 20.

GRlogo2012-300x300Due to this weekend’s 67th annual Gold Rush Days celebration, US 60 in downtown Wickenburg (mileposts 107-110) will be closed in both directions on Saturday, Feb. 14 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Drivers should expect delays or adjust travel plans accordingly. Traffic will be rerouted through a clearly marked detour.

Eastbound traffic on US 60 will be detoured to Vulture Mine Road to US 93 and US 93 southbound to reconnect to US 60.

Night work resumes on roundabout on US 93 at Wickenburg Ranch

Overnight work will resume tomorrow and Thursday, Dec. 10 and 11 on US 93 north of Wickenburg as part of the new roundabout being constructed by the Wickenburg Ranch development.

The north side of the roundabout has been completed and northbound traffic on US 93 will be shifted to the right so crews can continue building the rest of the roundabout.

Drivers can expect intermittent single-lane restrictions between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. during work hours. Flaggers will direct traffic in alternating directions using the single lane that is open and with delays of up to 15 minutes. During nighttime work hours, a 12-foot width restriction will be in effect.

To maximize resources and complete the project quickly, crews are working seven days a week with day and night work for the next three months. Work hours during the day are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and a 14-foot width restriction is in place.

The work zone will be clearly marked by temporary barricades and signage. ADOT advises drivers to allow additional time to reach their destinations and to proceed through the work zone with caution, comply with the reduced speed limit, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.

Flaggers will direct traffic in alternating directions using the single lane that is open and with delays of up to 15 minutes. The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph.

To maximize resources and complete the project quickly, crews are working seven days a week with day and night work for the next three months. Work hours during the day are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. with intermittent night work 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday to Thursday. A 12-foot width restriction and a shoulder closure will be in effect for the duration of the project.

Construction of retaining wall on US 60 in Wickenburg begins mid-October

PRESCOTT – The Arizona Department of Transportation will begin a slope stabilization project with the construction of a new retaining wall on the north side of US 60 from Lazy Fox Drive to Falcon Road in Wickenburg.

The work will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 15 and will require a 24-hour single-lane restriction westbound and the closure of the multi-use path through the work zone (approximately 500 feet) for the next three months.

Work hours will be Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. with an anticipated completion date by the end of February 2015.

adot-logo3Motorists should expect minimal delays throughout the project. The $247,000 project includes the construction of a new retaining wall and reconstruction of the multi-use path along the north side of the roadway plus handrail.

ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.

The Arizona Department of Transportation will restripe the south roundabout in Wickenburg on US 93 tomorrow night, April 29. Work hours will be from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Northbound US 93 traffic will be directed to use the north roundabout to Tegner Street for access into Wickenburg. Southbound US 93 traffic will be directed onto Tegner Street to eastbound US 60 and through the work zone with flaggers.

Clearly marked detour signage will be in place to direct traffic around the work zone. ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.

Roundabout work on US 93 in Wickenburg begins Sunday night

Night work will require the closure of the south roundabout; delays of up to 15 minutes are expected

WICKENBURG – The Arizona Department of Transportation will smooth and resurface the south roundabout in Wickenburg on US 93 starting Sunday night, March 23. Overnight work, requiring the full closure of the south roundabout, will occur Sunday through Thursday between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Delays of up to 15 minutes are expected.

Northbound US 93 traffic will be directed to use the north roundabout to Tegner Street for access into Wickenburg. Southbound US 93 traffic will be directed onto Tegner Street to eastbound US 60 and through the work zone with flaggers.

Until work is complete on the roundabout, one lane will be closed during the day starting on Monday, March 24 through Friday, March 28 between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Restrictions for wide loads (maximum 10 feet wide) and a 75-foot length restriction will be in place until the work is completed.
